CenterCare - JourneyPure At The River

Center Care was created in 1990 when Commonwealth Health Corporation began assisting employers in managing their health care costs. Center Care initially negotiated discounts with hospitals in return for its employers’ utilization of those hospitals. This group of hospitals became known as the Center Care Network.

The program soon expanded to include additional hospitals and create its own network of physicians. As this network grew, more employers joined up with Center Care. Today, Bowling Green-headquartered Center Care one of the largest managed care companies in the state of Kentucky, with a statewide network offering comprehensive coverage and competitive discounts.

“As traditional roles are challenged by a healthcare system which demands a greater value from all of its participants,” says a Center Care press release, “our unwavering commitment to our clients can be seen through the introduction of a series of innovative products and services. Our goal is to leverage our experience and technology so that additional value may be passed to our clients.”

Inpatient Addiction Treatment versus Outpatient

Depending on how serious the addiction is, the patient will need to decide whether an inpatient or outpatient treatment center is right for him or her.

Inpatient treatment, such as that of JourneyPure At The River, features a residential area where patients live for a period of time to focus more fully on beating their addiction and any co-occurring mental health disorders. It is recommended for serious, long-term problems.

Outpatient facilities, such as those of JourneyPure Murfreesboro, JourneyPure Nashville, and JourneyPure Clarksville, require the patient to participate for only a number of hours each week. Outpatient treatment is suited for people with less serious, short-term addictions.

Verifying Coverage and Finding the Best, Most Appropriate Treatment

In fact, Employee Education is one of the top services that the company is prepared to offer to its members. Other member services include claims assistance (with a timely turnaround on claims being priced), provider network information, and complaints resolution and tracking.
